Enter a completed set to compare equivalent-effort rep targets when you increase the weight. The estimate is not a workout prescription.
← ALL TRAINING TOOLSESTIMATE THE TRADE-OFF
WEIGHT VS REPS.
Uses the Epley relationship for one exercise at similar effort. Your technique, fatigue and individual strength curve matter more than a formula.
For sets of roughly 2–10 challenging reps, this may help visualise trade-offs. It does not account for repetitions in reserve.
EQUIVALENT-EFFORT ESTIMATE
At 52.5 kg, about 8.1 reps would give a similar mathematical estimate to 50 kg × 10.
Estimates aren't guarantees. A lower calculated volume load doesn't necessarily mean less stimulus, and no percentage increase is required every session.

HOW PROGRESSION WORKS.
Is this DRYVE's in-app progression engine?
No. This is a standalone educational website calculator based on an Epley-equivalent-effort estimate. It is not connected to your account or the app's personalised next-session recommendations.
Should I always add weight?
No. Progress can also mean more controlled repetitions, improved range of motion or more consistency. Choose targets appropriate to your current ability.
