01 / ESTIMATE YOUR STRENGTH

ONE-REP MAX.

Use a hard but controlled set to estimate a single-rep maximum. This is a calculation, not a test of your absolute strength.

YOUR RECORDED SET
kg
reps

Most useful with a demanding set of roughly 2–10 reps. Different exercises and lifters can produce different results.

YOUR ESTIMATED 1RM

116.7 kg

Estimated using Epley from 100 kg × 5 reps.

80% training load93.3 kg
70% training load81.7 kg

Calculated values are approximations, not recommended maximum attempts. Technique, fatigue and equipment can change performance.

02 / PLAN A SET

REP TARGETS.

Using the estimated 1RM above, see the approximate weight associated with a different repetition target on the same lift.

reps

This inverse estimate assumes comparable effort and technique. It does not account for the specific exercise or your individual fatigue profile.

ESTIMATED LOAD FOR THAT REP COUNT

92.1 kg

This is an illustrative same-exercise estimate, not an instruction to lift this weight.

03 / SET UP YOUR BAR

BARBELL PLATES.

Calculate what to put on each side of a standard bar. Choose the target total including the bar itself.

kg
kg

Assumes matching plates on each side, and unlimited plates of the selected sizes. The plate list is in kilograms, converted for display when you select pounds.

LOAD EACH SIDE

40.0 kg
Achievable total100.0 kg

Always verify the bar weight and available plates before lifting.

ABOUT THE NUMBERS

HOW THE ESTIMATES WORK.

What does 1RM mean?

One-rep maximum is the most weight you could lift for one technically sound repetition in a specific exercise. This page estimates it mathematically from a completed set.

Which formulas are used?

Epley: 1RM = weight × (1 + reps / 30). Brzycki: 1RM = weight × 36 / (37 − reps). For a completed single, both return the weight entered. No account or personal lifting data is sent to a server.

Can I compare my bench press with my squat?

Not reliably from 1RM equations alone. Equivalent loads across different exercises require validated exercise-specific reference data. DRYVE does not claim those comparisons here.

Should I test my true 1RM?

You don't need to. Near-maximal attempts involve risk and are best approached with appropriate safety equipment, qualified supervision where necessary and a training plan suited to you.
